Event Overview

In 2026, The Lands at Hillside Farms celebrates 20 years as a nonprofit educational dairy farm dedicated to teaching life choices that are healthy, logical, and sustainable. This milestone anniversary is both a celebration of legacy and a forward-looking investment in the farm's future. The 20th Anniversary Celebration will bring together supporters, community leaders, and friends inside the farm's historic Museum Barn for an evening that honors Hillside's past while ensuring the continuation of its mission for generations to come.

Why 20 Years Matters

Milestone moments invite reflection—and responsibility. Over the past two decades, Hillside Farms has grown from a preserved historic property into a nationally respected nonprofit that blends sustainable agriculture, education, animal welfare, and human well-being. Today, Hillside stands at an important crossroads. Demand for hands-on education, evidence-based Care Farming services, and ethical, locally produced food systems continues to rise, while the costs of maintaining historic infrastructure, caring for animals, and delivering high-quality programming increase each year.Supporting the 20th Anniversary Celebration is not simply about marking time, it's about ensuring that Hillside remains strong, relevant, and resilient for the next 20 years. Your support helps safeguard the farm as a living classroom, a place of healing, and a community anchor rooted in stewardship and compassion.

The Impact of Your Support

Funds raised through this celebration directly support:

Educational programs serving children, families, and lifelong learners• Care Farming and farm-based therapeutic services• High-welfare animal care and responsible land stewardship• Preservation of the historic farm and buildings, many which predate the Civil War.

Care Farming

This camp is open to children ages 6 to 14 who have recently experienced the loss of a loved one through illness, accident, homicide or suicide. We also serve children who are in foster care or kinship care due to neglect or abuse as well as children living with family addiction. According to the National Alliance for Grieving Children, those children who suffer a significant loss are at a greater risk for depression, suicide, substance abuse, and poverty.
